It's Nice To Be Important But It's MORE Important To Be Nice

You look into the mirror what do you see? Well I see a strong, beautiful women. She is beautiful beyond belief and sadly she doesn't see it. You know why she doesn't see it? It's because every single day she compares herself to someone. She compares her hair, clothes, weight, strength, and so much more. It's horrible, but it's what she is pounded with every single day by movies, models, and expectations. She has to be skinny. She has to have a flat stomach. She has to have perfect thighs and perfect muscles. It's not fair. Not everyone can have that. Not everyone can be that 'perfect' weight. You know why? It's because we are all different. What is so bad about being different? Nothing. What is so bad about being overweight? Nothing until you can't even move or do anything and it's effecting your health. What is so bad about having jiggly arms? I don't think there's anything wrong with it but you hear all around you "Wow your arms are jiggly." "You have fat on them." It's horrible. And then they attack your stomach, thighs, and legs too.
What do you do then after someone points it out or you don't like it? You hide it. You buy cute shirts that are loose. You buy cute pants that aren't skin tight. You wear jackets and T-shirts. You get pretty good at hiding it and you think your doing well and in some areas you actually do. But then someone says something jokingly and it bothers you. They might have been teasing you but it still hurts and you try and hide it more and more. Then you notice other girls. How that problem doesn't effect them, and then you become jealous. After awhile, and a war between yourself, you realize that whatever was bothering you is alright and it's okay. You are beautiful and there are people that love you despite your jiggly arms or stomach fat. There are people that love you for you.
We beat ourselves up so much about how we look because that's how the world portrays us as how we have to be. But is that really true? No it's not. Every girl has something beautiful about her and every girl has a personality that you fall in love with. It doesn't matter how they look it only matters what they do. You know actions speak louder than words? Kindness is more important in my eyes; it's always nice to be important but isn't it more important to be nice?
